Then Daddy took a breath, and he never
breathed again................
We all cried. I was really scared, and really mad at God! We all worked
so hard to keep him alive.
When God took my Daddy, I wanted some
answers! "WHY did my Daddy have to go to
Heaven?" Mommy said "God needs your Daddy's Soul to help Him
in Heaven". "WHY was he
soooo cold when I kissed him goodbye, WHY?"
Mommy said that's cause "it's cold in the clouds. Daddy was practicing
getting ready to live
there.............." "But why did his body turn so white after he
died?" Mommy said," It's so he can
blend in with the white fluffy clouds and match his Angel wings."
Mommy, what's a Soul?"
"That's your Daddy's spirit and love all combined into one package
that God calls a Soul. Like a
caterpillar that sheds it's body to become a butterfly, your Daddy shed
his earthly body so he can fly
with the Angels. As a Soul, he can fly! He can't use his earthly
body in Heaven anyway, because
it's way too heavy for flying or walking around in clouds."
"Why did they put him in a casket?" I
asked.
Mommy said "Daddy’s body stays in the casket just like the
butterfly leaves his cocoon’s shell
behind, so they both can fly." I saw them when they took my Daddy’s
body to the funeral home. It
made me cry and sick at my stomach. I didn't like that!
By the time we got back from Daddy's
funeral, I knew he was already in Heaven
because he
didn't have any traffic to deal with.
At home, there was food and visitors
everywhere. I was very sad. Everyone was
crying and
hugging, whispering, and doing that funny smile. I don't like that
kind of smiling and hugging!
